Guidance, Navigation & Control

Course Description

This 5 day course provides comprehensive training in Guidance, Navigation and Control delivered by Dr Clayton Kerce and Dr Brian Stevens.

Starting with principles of operations, the basics of GNC are described in a practical context helping students contextualise system behaviour. As the course progresses, this foundation is built upon with more detailed explanations of GNC use in actual systems.

Target Audience

The course is suited for both the newcomer who seeks knowledge in GNC systems and those with experience in the field requiring a refresher and updates on contemporary GNC techniques.

Students should have a mathematical background in Differential Equations, simple manipulation of Vectors and Matrices and Laplace Transforms at the level of first degree in Engineering or Physics. A brief background will be covered where necessary.
